“Fauxy Canvas” is a great way to add lots of color, character and style to any wall in your home or office space. With simple variations in flower types, paint colors and arrangements, every canvas can be a unique piece of art! So much more beautiful and elegant in person, I have been told that picture doesn’t do justice for this amazing creation. Try it out for yourself and let me know your thoughts.

What you will need

• Canvas of your choice, shape, size
• Faux flowers
• Glue
• Spray paint
• Scissors

Steps

Begin with trimming the stems of your faux flowers so that they can stick onto a flat surface. Now loosely arrange your flowers the way you visualize your final design. This helps think of any changes in arrangement before its too late, and gives an opportunity to rethink your placement as per your desire. Keep the flowers aside.

Next paint your canvas, covering sides to give a professional look. I used spray paint which is easy to cover a bigger space, but there is no restriction on using regular paint and apply with a brush. For the above design, I have used Krylon ColorMaster Matte Paint and Primer- Bordeaux (easily available at your favorite craft store). You may want to reapply 2-3 coats to give a richer feel and texture to your canvas.

Once the paint has dried, you can attach your flowers to the canvas with glue per your visualized design.

And you are done! Display your artwork and enjoy the compliments! Wasn’t that super easy?
